Daily living assistance
Personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting and household tasks, focused on building your capacity over time.
A home of your own, with the right support around the clock. SIL gives you the assistance you need to live as independently as possible, in a shared home or on your own.
Supported Independent Living is NDIS-funded support that helps you live in your own home. It covers the support staffing inside the home, up to and including 24-hour active support with overnight. SIL suits participants whose plans fund a substantial level of daily support, and we work with you to make sure the right hours and funding are in place before support starts.
Accommodation is arranged separately, through one of our SIL homes, Specialist Disability Accommodation, or within your own home. SIL is not about doing everything for you. It is about working alongside you so you own your daily life.
Some examples of participants we currently support: people living with physical, intellectual or psychosocial disability, autism, and acquired brain injury.
Personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting and household tasks, focused on building your capacity over time.
Sleepover and active overnight options based on your assessed needs, so support never has an off switch.
Shopping, appointments, social activities and outings that keep you connected beyond the front door.
Cooking independence, budgeting, travel training and social skills, mapped to the goals in your NDIS plan.
Workers trained for behaviour support plans and complex health needs, with clinical backup from our nursing team.
We match housemates and workers for personality, language and lifestyle, because a home only works when the people in it do.
We have supported homes in Victoria and Queensland, and more homes are being added. Every listing shows the home, its accessibility features and current vacancy status.
Many of our SIL participants come to us through a hospital discharge. Our Hospital Transitions team lines up the home and the support team before discharge day, so you leave hospital into a place that is ready for you.
How hospital transitions work →We get to know you, your needs, your funding and what home means to you. No forms first.
Home visits, housemate meets and a support plan built around your assessed needs and goals.
Your matched team supports the move, and regular check-ins make sure the home keeps working for you.
Tell us about your situation and your funding. We will walk you through the homes we have and what would fit.
